Emily Miller, APN-BC, is a board-certified advanced practice nurse at Premier Primary Care in Union City, Tennessee. She specializes in family care settings and brings an earnest passion to the team.
Emily graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then went on to Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing.
In 2009, Emily started her own practice in Dyersburg, Tennessee, with the renowned Dyersburg Clinic Corp. A few years later, she was given the honor to join the practice of long-time physician Dr. Grover Schleifer, MD, and practiced with him until his retirement in 2016. She then joined the staff at Premier Primary Care and has been an integral part of the team ever since.
Emily relishes the opportunity to practice in the family medicine atmosphere as a nurse practitioner. Nothing gives her greater joy than caring for patients and their families, particularly through her passion: wellness promotion. She sees her role as a chance to empower people with the tools needed to achieve and maintain good health.
Through this practice and her close bonds with patients, she connects in a profound manner with her patients and their families. To her, that’s easily the most rewarding part of her job. In essence, she treats her patients the way she’d treat her own family.
Emily holds membership in the Tennessee Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Pi Tau Chapter. When not treating patients, Emily enjoys spending her free time working out, training for and completing half marathons (three so far!), traveling, antiquing, and spending time with her husband and three dogs.
